WE RECOMMEND YOU TEST YOUR PRO3 PRIOR TO INSTALLATION IN YOUR BOAT.
Press the ON/OFF switch the display will read “000 IDLE”
Turn the unit off. Press and hold the ON/OFF switch until “A-Steer Cal” appears in the display.
Release the ON/OFF switch and the display will read “0-CAL-NUM .”
Set the CAL number to 28.
Press and hold the Idle switch and the display will read “STEER CAL-DONE. Turn the unit off and back on. The calibration is locked into the unit.
TROLLMASTER PRO3 OPERATION
Turn the speed control knob counter clockwise until it stops.Turn the unit on and the display will read “000 IDLE”.
Press the IDLE switch and the display will read “0 RUN”
Turn the speed control knob clockwise up to #500 + the speed will increase as the knob is turned.
Press the IDLE switch and the display will read “000 IDLE” and the motor will return to idle speed.
Press the IDLE switch again and the motor will return to the previous number set, increasing and returning the motor to trolling speed.
With the speed number set at 495 or less, pressing the “MAX THTL” switch will increase the speed to 70% of the motors capability and the display will read “MaxSpeed MFT.”
PRO3 System Box Installation Complete the motor servo installation first.
Mount the Pro3 System Box within six (6) feet of your trolling motor. The system box may be mounted on any plane. Use the four screws or the hook and loop material provided.
Route the 8’ cable into the motor as shown. DO NOT ROUTE CABLE THROUGH THE OPENING FOR THE MOTOR STARTING LEADS.
Attach the servo cable to the servo.
Attach the steering cable to your steering unit. A cable plug is provided for use with Panther units. Connect Red to Red and Black to Black. If the wires are reversed (Red to Black) the unit will reverse direction.Mating connectors are provided for use with different brand steering units.
Steering Units other than Panther require attaching Trollmaster to the units factory leads.
CAUTION: The power leads must be connected Black to Negative and Red to Positive. Reversing the leads will damage the unit and is not covered under Warranty.
When connecting to a battery post where the starter leads are connected, use the nylon washers provided to separate the Trollmaster leads from the starter leads.
Connect the hand control to the 18’ walk around cable. Make sure the control box and the cable plug are aligned correctly. The cell phone mount kit is provided for storage of the hand control box.
